Here is one of the first engineering sample of the Banias CPU. Launched by Intel in March 2003, Intel showed some early sample at IDF (Intel Developer Forum) one year before (IDF 2002). This sample of the Banias (P6 Architecture, 1 MB L2, 0.13 µm process and QDR Bus) was at IDF 2002 and was clocked at 1.2 GHz. The Pentium M (commercial name) was launched on Mar, 12th 2003 at 1.3 Ghz to 1.6 GHz.
